It would appear there’s more to Riverdale than G-rated love triangles and beach parties.
Archie Comics Publications has filed papers citing bullying and sexual harassment against Nancy Silberkleit, Co-CEO of the company since 2008 after the death of her husband, Michael. Reportedly, Ms. Silberkleit has a history of abusive behavior, including a now-infamous incident in 2009 where she barged into a meeting and ”pointed to each [attendee] and said, ‘PENIS, PENIS, PENIS, PENIS’ and then walked out.”
Archie has apparently hired an outside firm to investigate the claims and the company recommended Archie cut ties with Nancy as soon as possible. Archie Comics is hoping for a judge to grant an injunction which will keep Nancy away from the Archie offices as well as San Diego Comic-Con.
At this point, you’ve got to be asking yourself, “Is this real?”
I know I sure am.
But according to TMZ,of all outlets, this is the Real Deal, a real-life tale of a fallen executive whose appetites have caught up with them. Only this time, it’s a woman, and she works for the most wholesome comic book company in the world.
Until now, that is. Archie Comics has EVERYTHING at stake here. Without their reputation, what are they?
A target for media vultures like TMZ, that’s what.
Ohhh Archie! What’s REALLY Going on in Riverdale?
