Well, this was inevitable.
After a helluva wild ride – complete with porn stars and drugs, ‘natch – Mr. Sheen is trying to recent his past declarations and stunts. He tells Rolling Stone:
“Clearly, a guy gets fired, his relationships are in the toilet, he’s off on some f****** tour, there’s nothing ‘winning’ about any of that. I mean, how does a guy who’s obviously quicksanded, how does he consider any of it a victory? I was in total denial.”
He even refuses to admit how difficult it is to stay sober….
“I mean, the s*** works. Sorry, but it works. Anyway, I don’t see what’s wrong with a few drinks. What’s your drink? Tequila? Mine’s vodka. Straight, because I’ve always said that ice is for injuries, ha ha.”
Really, Charlie? That’s the best you got? You have Tiger Blood running through those well-used veins, but you’re not man enough to stand by your actions and the ginormous PR mess they created?
Just say something like, “Yes, I can be an ass sometimes, but you know what? Its my life to mess up… So there!”
Personally, I’d give Charlie my respect once again if he came clean. But that’s just me.

I dont know. A clean Charlie Sheen is against the laws of nature or something!
Very true…
Have you seen the commercial for his new show? It says something like “everybody deserves a second chance”. I wonder if anyone counted his up for him??
I doubt it…
I’d respect him if he would STFU. I’m kinda tired of hearing about him.
Well, we had a bit of a break…For a while, at least!
Yeah, but the I’m-freaking-sick-of-hearing-about-Charlie-Sheen meter didn’t reset. It was still in the red…
>I mean, the s*** works. Sorry, but it works.
- And that says it all for me. If he believes *that* works, it’s because he didn’t think *he* could.
Despite all the love and support he got from everyone, Charlie Sheen did not believe he could do better. To not have self-confidence is an awful thing.
My heart goes out just as much to the rest of his family, but a little more for his dad and Denise Richards. Both are public figures as well. How hard it must be for them to go about their work with a straight face and a heavy heart under the glare and blare of the media and the world.
Thank you for letting me my usual sappy self, Hook.
Kate
No problem, Kate. Any time!
Wow! He looks awful!!!!
I mean I know I look like hell after the year I’ve had, but he just looks like he’s very ill.
You said it, Woman!
I suspect we all need to see car crashes in front of us – at least the media thinks we do – over here we had Amy Winehouse, Keith Richards and a host of “celebs” whose narcotic/alcohol abuse sustained their careers in some strange way.
It has always gone on and always will sadly. As for Charlie – he ain’t got long! but we probably thought that about Downey Junior, Lohan, Spears, Mitchum……..
You always bring something cool to the table, buddy! Thanks!
Most welcome me old mucker!
I don’t even know what to say…on one hand I feel sorry for him. He obviously is struggling with demons, alcohol induced. On the other hand, I can’t say he is completely blame free. I don’t know Hook. I’m torn about this one.
Me too…
Just go away – I’ve had to watch friend basically drink himself to death – no matter how much people tried to help / intervened / dried him out / seem to get back on track – only to pick it up again until death.
Total denial – always someone else’s fault – arrogance – always smarter than everyone else – caused damage to everyone around.
Make your choices, Charlie – but don’t expect me to watch or feel any sympathy.
Another bang-on comment. Thank you for sharing.
Unfortunately for ole Charlie, I think he’ll by a misogynist asshat even if he does get clean.
Well said!
I think that big head and wasted body photo of Charlie is the one you would see of yourself and realize how far you had fallen. You know, the one you keep on the fridge that motivates you to do something about it. His poor kids, one day they will read all this stuff about their dad, what on earth are they going to think?
I would respect him more if he got clean, but still think he was an idiot.
I hear you…
