Do you realize I still have four more sleeps until Marvel Studios allows the Avengers to assemble at my local Cineplex theatre?
I have been waiting for this film since I was an actual fanboy, never mind a forty-year-old father! I need the diversion and the emotional boost that can only come from watching one’s childhood heroes brought to life on the big screen more than ever these days.
Wish me luck on my vigil, will you?

I SOOOOOOO wanna see this movie, but it’ll probably be a while before I can get out to it.
NOO!!!
Get thee to a multiplex immediately – or in four days – mortal!
Well, I may be able to. We finally got our tax refund! Woot!
Enjoy!
I’m excited too… I cannot wait for the HULK to SMASH like there is no tomorrow!
Very cool! Hulk rules!
Good luck on the Vigil, Hook.
Thanks, my fellow blogger/superhero!
I can’t wait to see it! it’s gonna be sooo good!
You bet your beads!
Will you be one of those fools in line at midnight ?
Sadly… no!
Two of the kids that work for me are thinking about waiting in line. Another one did the midnight showing of twilight. Crazy kids
But awesome ones!
As you know, I’m not a comic fan. (Excluding Tintin, Archie, Richie Rich and a few others.) But I don’t need to be one to understand your excited anticipation over watching your heroes whirl and swirl and do whatever it is they do! All on big screen!
Cheers to never letting the child in us grow up!
3-1/2 to go! Yaay!
Kate
Thanks for the support, Kate!
I’m crossing my fingers and desperately hoping that this doesn’t disappoint.
I hope so too!
Ahhh schucks!!! I thought you were talking about me!!! ohhh the shame!!! LOL!!!
Good luck!!! And while you stand in line for your ticket, be sure to tweet often about the others in line!!! If I cannot people watch, may as well have others do it and I’ll just live through them!
Cool idea!
I, too, can’t wait for the movie to open! I am a superhero fan! I was in Cleveland when they were filming some of it. So excited!
You were there? Very cool!
I was there completely by coincidence. I was also seeing a show in Playhouse Square during the filming of Spider-man (one of the Tobey Maguire ones).
Great coincidence!
Anxiously waiting for the heroes!
(one of the great things about being a kid is that you can tell yourself the movie was perfect – even if it wasn’t….and in a few years the “perfect movie” memory will be what remains)
Believe!
I intend to!
I watched the trailer yesterday and it looks fantastic! Now rest up Hook!
I will. Thanks, Susie!
I share your excitement: I can’t wait to see it myself!
Should be good – I hope!
