And it makes its way into your poor little hands.
I’m not familiar with how things work in other countries, my fellow bloggers, but here in The Great White North we receive periodic rebates on retail sales tax or hydro, etc. Whatever the case, it’s an unexpected stroke of monetary luck.
The government, all governments in fact, drain enough from their citizens throughout the year. There is no greater feeling than opening your mailbox and realizing the Wheel of Karma has turned in your favor.
Lord knows, we spend enough time being run over by that same wheel of fortune!

Wish we had that in the States. All we have are periodic tax-free weekends when certain items have no sales tax.
Here in Italy they are likely so steal our money. in fact Hub’s last employer waited seven months before paying him!
The money is listed in French and English. Does that mean you get to cash it twice? Once in English and once in French?
Nope!
Ohhh! I am coming to your house for drinks tonight!!!!
I’ll leave a porch light on!
Nice….nope, we don’t have that here. In fact, not all states even have the tax free weekend. We do in Texas but my family in Indiana don’t….different rules for different states.
We do get our yearly tax refunds if you’re working a job….BUT even some of that goes to Social Security….:(
Can’t catch a break, can you?
If I’m lucky I’ll get a tax refund at the end of the year. I’m not always lucky. No tax free weekends either.
I feel your pain!
